Like many before me, it all started in the garage. Playing around with scrap wood, I thought it would be cool to try and make some kind of decoration for Halloween, of course our favorite all time holiday!! The very first forever pumpkin box that was made is named, The Original.

The Original was made with simple shapes for the face. The face was made by joining two boards together with pocket screws and glue. Finished with a couple coats of Gunstock stain by Varathane. Followed by several coats Varathane Sparurethane. While waiting for the poly to dry, tried to figure out how we were going to creats a stem. Looking at fallen branches in the yard created a spark of an idea. Cutting a branch down to size and whittling to have the perfect look for a pumpkin stem. The lid is hinged on, and a flickering tea light can be inserted to give it a nice soft glow.
